J. Brent Melanson
Brent has been practicing for over thirty years in the civil litigation field. He has represented clients at the trial, appellate and Supreme Court of Canada levels. Brent completed his legal degree at Dalhousie University and a Masters in Political Science at the London School of Economics. Brent is a reoccurring instructor at the New Brunswick bar course and has spoken at many legal education conferences. Outside of the office, Brent enjoys skiing, sailing and spending time with his wife and three children.
Jessica obtained her law degree from the University of New Brunswick. Jessica has spoken at a number of legal education conferences. Jessica is passionate about helping individuals access legal justice and understand the legal system. Outside of the office, Jessica volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Partners for Youth and the First Nations Children’s Futures Fund. Jessica also enjoys swing dancing, skiing, boxing, playing ultimate Frisbee and spending time with her dog, Dalek. And yes, Jessica is in fact Brent’s daughter.
Charmaine graduated from Atlantic Business College with a Paralegal Certificate. She has been working in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick as a paralegal for over 30 years, in various fields of law. In her spare time Charmaine enjoys reading, swimming, gardening, spending time with her husband of 36 years, her children and fur babies.
Marcel completed her Legal Assistant Certification in 1999 in Fredericton NB. She has worked in various areas of law and specializes in litigation support. She has lived in Fredericton for over 20 years. Marcel enjoys spending time with her four legged best friend Eddy, travelling, and cooking.
